The mission of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) instructor program is to raise the quality of billiard instruction and make it available to everyone who desires to increase their abilities, and encourage a lifetime of enjoyment in cue sports. The BCA instructor program includes instructor training courses along with written and practical testing to ensure that instructors are proficient in teaching.
Mark Avlon is a BCA Advanced Instructor and has been teaching since 1999. Mark has studied under BCA Master Instructor Jerry Briesath, BCA Master Instructor Randy Goettlicher, and BCA Advanced Instructor Bob Jewett. In addition to teaching, he is the BCAPL league operator for the Sno-King BCA Pool League, and an avid pool player. Brad Hornshaw is a BCA Certified instructor and has been teaching since 2004. Brad has studied under BCA Master Instructor Randy Goettlicher and BCA Master Instructor Jerry Powers. Brad has recently entered the BCA Pool League referee program. Brad is an avid player and regularly competes in local, regional, and national tournaments.
